Twin Lakes Home Search

Neighborhood Facts

Together, Martha Stewart and KB Home have created an exclusive community of single-family homes called Twin Lakes neighborhood. Located in northern Cary, which topped Money magazine’s rankings of the “most desirable places to live in the eastern United States.” As with all things Martha, this community has been designed with a lot of thought and special design touches that scream Martha. There are several different floor plans to choose from, starting at 1800sq/ft, up to 3800+sq/ft. Even with that many choices, Martha knew how to keep the streets from looking like cookie cutter neighborhoods. There are three different exterior style choices for each floor plan. That in essence triples the number of different home choices in the community, which makes it seem like a custom home community. Inside, Martha’s personal touches are evident in time-honored detailing like wainscoting, beadboard, crown molding, picture frame molding and other classic elements. Plus, intelligent features like upstairs laundry rooms and large kitchens designed for cooking and entertaining make living in your new home a delight.

Twin Lakes boasts a swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts and walking trails. Prices start from the $220’s. Choose from three collections of spacious single-family homes inspired by Martha’s own homes in New York and Maine. There are also a collection of Townhomes being built that start in price from the high $150s.

Hurricanes hit with force in the Triangle

Over the past few years several current and former NHL Hockey players have decided to call Cary, North Carolina home.

As a hockey fan, I am always excited to see NHLers on the streets. When I read the article in the News and Observer about Aaron Ward deciding to move to Cary, I almost wet my pants, got in the car, and drove around until I found his house. But then reality kicked in, I threw the paper in the recycler, and sat my lazy butt on the couch to watch the Le Tour de France.

I was however very proud of our town. It felt good that someone, who could afford to live anywhere in the world mind you, would decide to move here for something other than work at RTP. Rod Brind’Amour was quoted in the paper as saying…”Once you get here and play for a year or two and start getting the feel of the city and the people and the town and the organization, there’s no where better…The grass isn’t greener somewhere else. I think that’s what guys are starting to see now. Guys want to stay here.” The heavens opened, the light shone down, and all was good in the world.
